The Role

Visy Logistics is one of Australia’s largest independent transporters of containerised freight, which includes its significant international freight forwarding operation. In addition to servicing Visy’s internal businesses, we leverage the scale of our operations to provide competitive and innovative international sea freight services to our growing customer base.

Reporting to the Customer Service Manager – VL Global Forwarding Operation and based at our Epping office, your role focuses on ensuring a seamless delivery of customer expectations. Key to success will be your timely response to all day-to-day queries, management of client specific reports and data integrity, vendor management and participation in implementation of new customers.

This is a fast paced, highly dynamic position that will suit a very organised and driven individual from the airfreight or freight forwarding industry.

On a typical day you would be busy with but not limited to:

  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, provide a high standard of customer service
  • Use CargoWise to log client orders and manage orders up to the shipment stage
  • Liaise with Airlines,3PL agents and overseas agents to initiate shipments or resolving transactional issues
  • Identify opportunities for use of CargoWise reporting to enhance customer service experience
  • Key contact between Customer and Visy Global Forwarding i.e. Customer Advocate
  • Liaise and escalate cases where ABM involvement is required

What you need to bring to the role:

  • Strong customer service experience within a fast-paced environment
  • Previous Airfreight forwarding experience is highly beneficial
  • Good understanding of CargoWise Enterprise system or similar freight management systems
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build meaningful relationships with all stakeholders
  • Be a highly motivated, driven and organised individual who masters the art of prioritising
