The Opportunity
Visy is a leading collector and recycler of aluminium and an industry leading manufacturer of beverage cans, creating new packaging solutions for our customers. Many of Australia and New Zealand’s most recognised beverage brands are delivered in the cans we make.
We are seeking an Industrial Plant Electrician to join our maintenance team. This role offers the perfect opportunity to join our Primary Packaging division at a time of investment and growth throughout the business.
The Role
This integral role is responsible for installing, maintaining, upgrading, and repairing electrical and electronics components throughout the entire plant.
Reporting to the Production Manager key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Contribute to a safe and compliant working environment
- Conduct preventative maintenance of all plant and equipment
- Provide service to maintain production and resolution of operational or technical problems
- Ensure you work as a member of a cohesive team while maintaining individual responsibility
- Develop effective relationships & collaborate with other Electricians, Fitters, Fitter Operators, Team Leaders, Production Manager and Engineering Manager to reach successful outcomes.
What you will bring to the team:
- Experience working in a fast paced, high-volume industrial environment
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a “get the job done” approach every day
- A background in fault finding with PLC’s
- SAP or similar computerised maintenance system experience would be an advantage
- Exceptional ability in electrical fault finding and troubleshooting
- A Good communication and reporting skills and strong commitment to safety & quality
