The Opportunity   
 

The Head of Business Digital Transformation will be a key member of the Industrial & Digital Technologies (IDT) leadership team, who drive the strategy and operations of the Visy group digital transformation initiatives with particular focus across the organisation's administrative functions. 

The role will be accountable for the successful development and execution of all Visy’ digital transformation strategies. As a member of the IDT leadership team, you will deliver industry-leading levels of strategic planning for transformation that aligns with the Visy’ values and supports all business divisions.  

The Role   
 

The role requires strong technical, people-leadership, relationship-management, and collaboration skills, with experience working effectively in highly regulated, matrixed, high-demand organisations. 

The role will be responsible for ensuring Visy is able to maximise the value derived from our current technology landscape and drive adoption of emerging technologies that could support the business to sustain and/or grow. The selected candidate will create a framework for reliable and efficient technology application transformation which incorporates the strategy, design, development, delivery, and maintenance of Visy IDT landscape. Having a focus on the improvement of systems, delivery of IT projects and services, plus mentoring other IT team members).  If chosen, you will be a key member of a customer focused, fast paced, dynamic and positive energy IT team that is fully focused on supporting the Visy business and IT teams achieve our goals and objectives. 

Other key responsibilities will include, but not limited to:  

• Develop, maintain, and champion the Business Digital Transformation framework and strategy, ensuring its embedded into Visy's activities and the corporate values are extrapolated through the strategic objectives. 

• Enhance the overall quality of IT products and services throughout the business. 

• Develop and follow responsible financial stewardship in a digital transformation capacity. 

• Communicate business needs and drive and motivate internal staff and Visy partners to deliver outcomes as required. 

• Service governance across technical transformation services, ensuring compliance to and understanding of transformation processes across technologies. 

• Evaluate and maintain compliance with emerging legislative instruments and, when required, ensure the time amendment of policies and processes to enable the organisation to be effective in its business objectives. 

• Execute, tactical, expedited decisions ensuring the ongoing IDT operation and business success of Visy. 

• Develop and constantly evaluate Visy’ digital transformation strategy ensuring business alignment through risk and values-based lens. 

• Drive system rationalisation and support alignment to the Visy IT strategic roadmap. 

• Ensure relevant and timely reporting of financials and strategic objectives. 

What you will bring to the team:   
 

•     Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with further post-graduate               studies in business management. 

•     10+ years of IT and Business Operational experience within a                 wide array of industry verticals 

•     5+ years of technical and governance team leadership 

•     Extensive experience in supporting the delivery of IT projects. 

•     Thought leadership, remaining abreast of current and emerging               planning issues and trends, including domestic and international             best practices, innovative approaches, and opportunities                         to support the achievements of the business objectives. 

•     Extensive experience analysing, planning and execution of                     complex long-term strategies with immediate tactical action                   considerations 

•     Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes without line authority 

   Desirable (preferable for the Role) 

•  Experience in evaluating legislative instruments and delivering    associated and required business change. 

•   Demonstrated track record of efficient, scaled delivery with        varying team sizes.
