The opportunity:
Visy was one of the first companies in Australia to build a Material Recovery Facility (MRF). Today we have an extensive network of recycling operations in the region, processing millions of tonnes of recyclables every year. Knowledge gained from decades of experience means we know how to solve your business and community recycling needs.
Based in Kilburn, South Australia, the Site Supervisor will provide leadership, direction and support to teams and ensure appropriate resources and skills are available to achieve KPI’s.
The Role:
Reporting to the Site Manager, your key outcomes will be to;
- Responsibility for the Health and Safety of employees, contractors and visitors within relevant operational areas
- Responsible for ensuring systems and processes are in place to protects the WHS of each employee and ensure relevant sites are complaint with all WHS legislation
- Bale audits, co-mingled and waste audits carried out regularly
- KPI compliance – Set Safety targets, NCR Targets, AVAs – Continually monitor performance indicators
- Actively contribute to the management of production with a focus on continual improvement
- Ensure staffing levels are in line with budget expectations
- R&M Spend compliance and reporting
What you will bring to the team:
- Experience in process manufacturing/operations
- Experience leading and developing a team
- Strong communication and active listening skills
- Ability to clearly identify, describe and communicate scope of work and desired outcomes to others
- Computer skills
