Recently we commissioned a new $150 million corrugated box factory in Hemmant. The facility was built to service Queensland’s thriving agricultural sector, primary industry and the FMCG markets across Queensland and will create over 100 new green collar jobs!
The Role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be part of a high performing team responsible for the maintenance and repair of plant and equipment. This facility will run a Morning and an Afternoon shift with fixed teams for both. This position is a fixed Morning shift position.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively prioritise activities, responding to breakdowns and undertaking preventative maintenance.
- Installing wire and conduit for newly installed and existing equipment such as conveyors, programmable controllers, converting and corrugating machinery.
- Replacing faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches & motors, position sensing devices such as proximity switch timers, scanners, and photo electric devices.
- Diagnosing and repair/replace faulty electronic components such as printed circuit boards.
- Look for efficiencies and ways to continuously improve our ways of operating.
Desired Skills & Experience:
What you will bring to the team:
- A full Electrical license with a background in electrical applications and manufacturing process experience.
- Demonstrate an ability to read electrical schematics/drawings together with PLC & VSD experience.
- You’re analytical and keenly focussed on process and continuous improvement.
- Experience working in a fast paced, high-volume environment while maintaining the required safety standards.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a “get the job done” approach every day.
