About the role:
Visy Logistics is expanding rapidly as we grow our national construction and steel logistics capability. To support this exciting next phase, we are seeking a dynamic and hands‑on Compliance Vendor Manager.
This is a pivotal position within the Visy Logistics Compliance Team, responsible for embedding robust Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S), Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and broader operational governance across all construction logistics activities. With a strong focus on vendor compliance management, you will play a key role in ensuring our subcontractor carrier network meets the highest standards of safety and performance.
You will ensure policies, procedures, and documentation are clearly communicated, understood, and continuously improved to support safe and efficient service delivery. Working closely with internal stakeholders, construction project teams, logistics partners and subcontractor carriers, your ability to influence and build strong working relationships will be central to your success.
What you will do:
- Manage all aspects of OHS, CoR and operational compliance across our construction logistics vendor network.
- Conduct vendor onboarding, approval, and ongoing auditing to ensure standards are met and maintained.
- Lead incident investigations involving subcontractor carriers and support risk mitigation strategies.
- Oversee compliance data and documentation across systems such as LSS CoR Safe and other logistics platforms.
- Conduct site risk assessments, performance reviews, and carrier compliance evaluations.
- Provide training, communication and guidance to internal teams and external partners.
- Drive continuous improvement across safety, CoR, and governance processes.
- Partner closely with the General Manager Construction Logistics, Safety teams, and project stakeholders.
What you will bring
- Strong experience in transport and logistics Safety & Compliance, especially within subcontractor environments.
- Solid understanding of OHS legislation, National Heavy Vehicle Law (HVNL) and CoR obligations.
- Experience conducting audits, investigations, and performance assessments in a logistics or construction environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and educate.
- Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and ability to work across multiple systems.
- A proactive, collaborative approach with a commitment to safety, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Preferable qualifications such as Lead Auditor, ICAM, Cert IV OH&S or TAE are highly regarded.
