Role Details:
As the Finance Manager, you will partner with senior leaders across Procurement, Global Trading, Supply Chain and Energy. This is a high-impact role suited to someone who goes beyond the numbers — providing commercial insight, challenge and strategic guidance to help drive business performance.
Based at Essendon Fields, you’ll lead a small team while working closely with key stakeholders, including senior executives and operational leaders, to shape financial outcomes and influence decision-making across complex business units.
What You’ll Do:
- Act as a trusted Finance Business Partner across Procurement, Global Trading, Energy, Supply Chain and Visy Glass International/Visypak operations.
- Deliver financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and analysis to drive performance and profitability.
- Provide commercial insight to support strategic initiatives, new business cases, and global trading strategies.
- Implement and maintain strong financial controls, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
- Lead a high-performing team, providing coaching, development and clear direction.
- Partner with cross‑functional leaders to improve systems, processes and cost management.
- Support continuous improvement and innovation across finance functions.
What You Will Bring:
- 10+ years’ finance experience in commercial or operational environments.
- CA or CPA qualification.
- Proven ability to partner with senior stakeholders and drive commercial outcomes.
- Strong leadership capability with experience managing and developing teams.
- Experience in fast-paced, complex environments (manufacturing exposure desirable).
- High attention to detail, results focused, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience with SAP or Hyperion (advantageous).
