The role:
We are looking for an FCL (Full Container Load) Dispatcher to provide essential operational support across our New Zealand logistics network. Based in Auckland, this role supports the safe and efficient movement of cargo by assisting with customer and carrier communication, coordinating daily transport activity, and maintaining key compliance and administration duties such as invoicing and reconciliations.
What you will do:
- Support the transport team with daily operational queries and customer updates.
- Communicate with customers and carriers about delays, changes or shipment updates.
- Process and reconcile invoices, ensuring all vendor billing is accurate and up to date.
- Maintain compliance tasks such as fatigue management records, logbook filing and managing system alerts.
- Update systems, action operational alerts and ensure orders and notifications are correct.
- Work with internal teams to maintain accurate information and consistent processes across systems.
- Build strong working relationships with customers, drivers and subcontractors.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives by streamlining admin processes and identifying efficiency opportunities.
What you will bring:
- Experience in FCL dispatch or administrative support within a wharf cartage or transport environment.
- A solid understanding of NZTA fatigue laws and Chain of Responsibility requirements.
- Proficiency with transport management systems, cargowise, and a strong grasp of operational logistics.
- Experience with invoicing, reconciliation or billing processes.
- Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- A flexible and resilient mindset, with the ability to stay calm and productive in a fast‑paced environment.
