Role details:
We’re seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our Moorabbin Plastics Plant. This is a full-time permanent role on a day shift 6am – 2.30pm. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our plant running smoothly and safely.
What you’ll do:
- Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on production machinery.
- Basic machining and welding of parts in the workshop.
- Assisting production with major overhauls and project maintenance.
- Work with high-speed manufacturing equipment, understanding production demands.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing.
What you’ll bring:
- Mechanical Fitter trade qualification or similar trade with maintenance fitting experience.
- Strong experience in preventative and breakdown maintenance in high-speed manufacturing environments.
- Basic welding and manual machining skills.
- Disconnect Reconnect licence beneficial.
- A proactive attitude and commitment to safety.
