General Plant Operator

Reporting directly to the Shift Manager and with a dotted line to the Pack Centre Manager, you’ll play a key role in a small, high-performing team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating twin tyne forklifts to transport glass and packaging materials throughout the pack centre.
- Maximising production uptime by responding to stoppages of autonomous guided vehicles (AGVs) and palletisers.
- Conducting quality audits and pallet backtracking as part of our quality containment process.
- Participating in hazard identification, accident investigation, and risk assessments.
- Supporting continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives.
What you will bring to the team:
- Proven experience operating twin tyne forklifts, ideally with glass product handling.
- Willingness and aptitude to learn AGV and automatic palletiser operations.
- Strong computer literacy and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High attention to detail, safety-first mindset, and a drive for continuous improvement.
- Ability to identify and implement innovative solutions across the business.
