Role details:
We’re looking for a passionate and hands-on Shift Supervisor to join our team at the Shepparton Cans Plant. This is a full-time, permanent role on the 3pm – 11pm afternoon shift, where you will have the opportunity to make a difference and grow within your role in the business.
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you’ll play a vital role in keeping production running smoothly, safely and to the highest quality standards.
What you’ll do:
- Manage a diverse and experienced production team of 15 to meet shift targets and uphold safety and quality standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly to ensure production demands are met
- Ensure site meets audit requirements for FSSC and HACCAP standards
- Manage day-to-day performance, attendance and training of your team
- Work with union representatives to address employee concerns constructively and promptly.
- Oversee onsite WHS and drive continuous improvement across safety, quality and compliance
What you’ll bring:
- Leadership experience within a high-speed manufacturing environment, including capability in managing performance issues
- Experience rostering, allocation labour, dealing with agency temps, leave approval and skills assessment and role allocation
- Familiarity with shift operations and dynamics in managing a team
- Solid understanding of GMP, HACCAP or FSSC environments and audit requirements
- Proficiency in problem solving manufacturing issues, ideally within an FMCG environment
- Safety first mindset, with awareness of safety compliance and requirements
