Role Details:

We’re looking for a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team, responsible for machine installations, servicing, and repairs. This hands-on role requires a professional approach to resolving customer issues efficiently and economically, while also supporting business profitability. 

Reporting to the Projects and Service Manager, in this completely autonomous role, you will:

  • Perform equipment installations, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Diagnose issues and deliver effective, customer-focused solutions.
  • Prepare accurate quotes that balance customer value and business outcomes.
  • Provide technical advice and support to customers and internal teams.

Take ownership of your work and contribute to continuous improvement strategies, maximising machine performance, reducing maintenance costs, and delivering results for customers Flexibility to travel interstate and occasionally work extended hours during commissioning or service periods is essential. What You Will Bring: 

Mandatory:

  • Proven post-trade experience in manufacturing or a similar industry.
  • Proven ability to solve mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Strong problem-solving and verbal reasoning skills.
  • A proactive, “can do” attitude with drive, tenacity, and creativity.
  • Demonstrated service experience in a similar role.
  • Solid PC skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to a fast-paced, diverse environment.
  • Confident in delegating tasks and influencing outcomes.

Desirable:

  • Experience in food manufacturing and packaging.
  • Post-trade qualifications in Electrical, Pneumatics, CAD, PLCs, and Networks (IP/TCP).
  • Familiarity with Continuous Inkjet, Laser, Labelling, and Coding technologies.
