Long description:
Visy Logistics, based in Forrestfield, seeks an experienced Operations Manager to lead the WA implementation of new Industrial customer and operation. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll build your team, onboard the customer, oversee support team members, drivers, fleet, and equipment. You’ll be responsible for maintaining high customer service standards, meeting budget targets, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance across all areas.
What you’ll do:
Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Lead and manage daily operations across fleet and logistics teams
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
- Drive productivity and profitability through innovative solutions
- Maintain high service levels and customer satisfaction
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and drive P&L performance
- Develop and mentor team members, fostering a high-performance culture
What you’ll bring:
You’ll bring a sharp operational mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships. With previous operational leadership experience, you will have strong financial acumen with capability to manage budgets, analyse cost drivers, and contribute to strategic financial decisions that impact operational performance. You will also bring:
- 3PL Transport Expertise – Strong background in end-to-end transport operations, fleet utilisation, and service delivery.
- Leadership – A confident people leader who builds capability, drives accountability, and fosters a high-performance culture.
- Customer Engagement – Approachable and responsive, you build trusted relationships and ensure customers remain front and centre.
- Resilience & Agility – Calm under pressure, quick to adapt, and solutions-focused in a fast-paced environment.

- Safety Leadership – Strong understanding of CoR, fatigue management, load restraint, and mass management; champions a safety-first culture.
- Experience with Transport Systems – Familiar with SAP, TMS to support planning, tracking, and performance reporting.
