The opportunity:

Reporting to the Accounting & Administration Manager, this role will be responsible for the management accounting of the Fleet and Materials Handling Equipment business while ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial and reporting processes. In addition, this role will have a close working relationship with the operations and management teams, which will include providing financial advice where needed as their finance business partner.

Key Responsibilities include:

· Lead mid month, month-end and year-end reporting using SAP & Hyperion as well as explain variances to last forecast, last month and budget

· Ensure accuracy of financial results and journal postings of lease cost

· Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, manage intercompany accounting and cost centre allocations

· Drive the annual full year forecast and budget exercise

· Maintain asset registers (Fleet & MHE) and track asset deliveries for settlement

· Review interest rate calculations and cost assumptions before settlement with leasing partner

· Review asset end of term and perform pay out and sale transactions

· Oversee AP/AR processes and vendor/customer invoicing

· Respond to customer queries and settle disputes

· Ensure compliance with internal controls, audits, and legislative requirements

· Drive process improvements and contribute to profit improvement initiatives

· Partner with business units to develop reports and deliver financial insights

· Support personal development and stakeholder engagement

 

What you will bring to the team:

· Tertiary & CPA qualified in Accounting

· 5 years of experience in a similar industry

· Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

· SAP experience (desirable)

· Hyperion experience (desirable)

· Effective, clear, and confident communication

· Excellent organisation skills

· Strong skills in issue resolution

· Ability to work within deadlines

· The ability to take the initiative and seek continuous improvement

· Good computer skills and sound keyboarding abilities

· The ability to work as a member of a team

· Dedication, commitment, and the desire and ability to learn quickly
