Role Details:
Join our reliability team at Visy Spotswood Glass Plan as a skilled Maintenance Fitter. This dayshift role, working 35 hours per week on a 9-day fortnight, plays a key part in keeping our plant running safely and smoothly. You’ll report to the I.S. Repair Manager and work closely with production and maintenance teams to ensure reliable operations.
What you’ll do:
- Follow all safety and quality standards, report hazards promptly.
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to support safe, reliable production.
- Use SAP PM module to record and complete maintenance tasks.
- Work with the I.S Repair Manager and Engineering Planner to prepare maintenance schedules and outage work packages.
- Help manage parts and materials to maintain workflow and reduce downtime.
What you’ll bring:
- Trade qualified Maintenance Fitter (Cert III in Engineering or higher)
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Strong experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment
- Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to complete multiple tasks with varying levels of priority to minimise downtime.
