Production Supervisor – Centre Line Die Formes

At Visy, we love solving problems. And that’s something we do better together. We’re looking for a Production Supervisor to join our Centre Line Die Formes team and lead the production of precision die-cutting tools for the Fibre Packaging division.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Production Manager – CLDF, you will supervise and lead the production team and contractor trades, manage operational budgets, and drive continuous improvement across all die-making processes. This role has a strong focus on site safety, tooling knowledge, customer service, and operational excellence.
You will work closely with internal stakeholders and customers to ensure high-quality, on-time production while developing your team’s skills and maintaining Visy’s position as a leader in sustainable packaging.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the production team and contractors at Centre Line Die Formes.
- Manage R&M budget, inventory, and production scheduling using SAP and other technologies.
- Promote and maintain a safe work environment, facilitating HSE initiatives, audits, and inductions.
- Capture and transfer tooling and die-making knowledge internally, supporting team skills development.
- Act as the technical liaison between CLDF and VFP, ensuring proactive customer support and non-conformance investigations.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma, SPC, and other process tools.
- Build strong relationships with internal departments, external suppliers, and customers.
What You Will Bring to the Team
- Proven experience in production supervision, scheduling, and project management.
- Strong understanding of HSE policies and practices, with experience driving compliance.
- Knowledge of tooling, die-making, or related manufacturing processes.
- Experience with continuous improvement, Lean Six Sigma, or statistical process control.
- Excellent stakeholder communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and other system software.
- Packaging industry or operations-based experience is highly desirable.
