The opportunity:

Seeking a Forklift Operator to join our team at Visy Board, Rukuhia, Hamilton. This is a permanent full- time position working dayshift, Monday to Friday. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Operate in accordance with site safety standards and procedures, ensuring all codes of practices are followed.
• Ensure all equipment and PME’s are checked daily, reporting any faults.
• Pallet handling, including maintaining pallet supply, loading and unloading of pallets from production lines and transport provider.
• Order picking, scanning, stacking, and staging of product for despatch.
• Use of electronic inventory management tools such as scanners and tablets.
• Isolate, label and report any defective product to supervisor, transfer to rework if required. 
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and HSE standards in accordance with company policy and procedures. 

What you will bring to the team:

As our new Forklift Operator, you will have previous experience operating forklift machinery within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will be a reliable team player, who has a positive attitude, with a strong work ethic. You have excellent communication skills and process a strong focus on Health, Safety and Environmental practices. Along with the following:

  • Hold of a current Forklift Operator License and a F endorsed is essential. 
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills. 
  • Computer Literate.
  • Ability to adapt within a fast paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Good attention to detail and an eye for accuracy.
  • Be capable of time management ensuring deadlines are met.
