Visy operates in some of Australia’s most competitive industrial labour markets. This role exists to ensure we continue to secure scarce technical and leadership talent across manufacturing, engineering, production and maintenance environments.
This is a hands-on Talent Acquisition Specialist role. You will own your recruitment portfolio end-to-end, partnering closely with hiring managers to fill hard-to-hire roles and shape talent attraction strategies while building sustainable pipelines that reduce reliance on agencies and advertising.
About the team
Reporting into the TA Operations Manager, you will join a centralized P&C TA function that support Visy’s operations with white-, black- and blue-collar hires across Australia and New Zealand. The team includes TA Specialists, Administrators, Systems & Leadership – all working collaboratively to deliver consistent, high-quality recruitment outcomes across the business.
What you'll do:
- Own end-to-end recruitment delivery across your manufacturing and technical portfolios
- Partner with hiring managers to scope roles, agree attraction approaches and drive outcomes
- Source and engage candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, SEEK Talent Search and ATS mining
- Build and maintain talent pools and market maps for hard-to-fill roles
- Manage screening, interviews, assessments, offers and onboarding
- Lead immigration and visa processes with strong attention to compliance and candidate experience
- Provide labour-market insights to hiring managers and HR Business Partners
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance recruitment efficiency and quality
What You Will Bring:
- 8+ years’ experience in internal and/or agency recruitment
- Proven success recruiting within heavy industry, manufacturing, engineering or natural resources
- Advanced ATS capability (ideally PageUp SuperUser)
- Deep expertise in strategic sourcing, pipelining and market mapping
- Strong working knowledge of Australian employment law and recruitment compliance
- Track record of filling genuinely hard-to-fill technical roles
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and commercial acumen
- A practical, delivery-focused mindset with the ability to work autonomously
