We are seeking a Production Manager to lead our production team at our Somerton site. This role will oversee 24/5 operations and lead a team of three Shift Supervisors, driving excellence across safety, quality, people, cost and productivity.

The Opportunity

As the Production Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient production of high-quality recycled PET products. You'll play a pivotal role in translating business goals into day-to-day performance on the floor, building a high-performing and safety-focused culture, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the production team, coaching and mentoring to deliver KPIs.
  • Manage plant operations across a 24/5 shift pattern, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align production with business targets and budgets.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through structured problem-solving.
  • Maintain high standards of visual management, 5S, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure strong integration with logistics, maintenance and quality teams.

What You’ll Need

  • Extensive leadership experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated success in driving operational performance and safety culture.
  • Strong background in coaching, mentoring and developing frontline leaders.
  • Experience implementing Lean principles and continuous improvement frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing systems and performance metrics.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications are desirable but not essential.
