We have an opportunity for an Afternoon Blow Mold Technician to join our Visy PET team based in Ingleburn, Sydney. This is a permanent full-time position working, Monday to Friday on our Afternoon shift (2pm to 10pm). Reporting to the Production Manager you will be responsible for the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of blow molding machines to ensure the production of high-quality plastic products to meet our customers’ requirements. Further to this your key responsibilities will include:
- Set up and calibrate blow molding machines according to specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting of equipment and report any foreseeable issues.
- Monitor, inspect and adjusting machine settings as required to optimize production efficiency, reduce waste and conduct quality checks on finished products.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets.
- Maintain accurate production records and report any discrepancies or issues.
- Maintain and ensure all Health and Safety policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
What you will bring to the team:
- Experience operating a forklift and hold a current forklift license is essential.
- High level of mechanical aptitude is essential, and a trade background is a bonus.
- Ability to work on our Afternoon shift (2pm to 10pm).
- Quality control and defect analysis- You will have good attention to detail and an eye for accuracy.
- Proven ability to work in a physically demanding and fast paced environment.
- Proficient computer skills along with strong written and verbal communication skills
