Job Title: GM Finance – Corrugated Packaging
Visy is powering the circular economy, closing the loop between packaging, remanufacturing, and recycling. Over 75 years, we've grown to 7,000 employees and 150 global operations – predominately in Australia and New Zealand.
We believe materials are not recycled until they’ve been made into new products. We collect and sort recyclable materials like paper, cardboard, glass, plastics, and metals from households and businesses and locally remanufacture them back into new, sustainable packaging. From cardboard boxes, water bottles and jam jars to food and beverage cans, we are using recycled content to power Australia and New Zealand’s food and beverage packaging industry.
Role details:
The GM Finance – Corrugated Packaging oversees financial operations across multiple sites in VIC, QLD, NSW, SA/NT, WA, and NZ. This strategic leadership role has become available due to an internal promotion and involves financial governance, decision support, and driving profitability. As a key member of the leadership team, the GM Finance - Corrugated Packaging provides financial insights to support operational and commercial objectives, ensuring strong controls, accurate reporting, and process optimisation. Reporting to the GM Finance – Packaging, with a dotted line to the GGM – Corrugated Packaging, this role acts as a key business partner, identifying financial risks and opportunities while championing automation and value creation.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive financial growth and returns by ensuring strong revenue, EBITDA, cashflow, margins, and ROCE. Uphold integrity through accurate financial reporting with robust controls and governance. Enhance risk management by safeguarding assets and identifying new opportunities. Embed continuous improvement, process automation, and data-driven decision-making. Strengthen business partnering with forward-looking insights and value-accretive investments. Develop excellence in people by building future financial leaders and fostering a high-performance culture.
What you will bring to the team:
We are seeking an experienced financial leader with 7-10 years in financial management, preferably in manufacturing. The ideal candidate will excel in budgeting, forecasting, and commercial finance, particularly in B2B revenue management and margin expansion. Key responsibilities include managing multi-site operations, leading finance teams, ensuring robust controls, and utilizing SAP and Lean methodologies. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CA or CPA qualification, and advanced Excel and SAP skills are required. Strong financial analysis, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement experience are essential.
