The opportunity:
Visy Board specialise in manufacturing innovative corrugated cardboard packaging solutions, using highly automated production machinery. The site at Wiri was established in 1997 and has since continuously grown and developed.
We are currently recruiting an experienced Forklift Driver to join our team based in Visy Board, Wiri. This is a permanent full-time position working Monday to Friday, on the morning shift (7am to 3.30pm). Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Operate in accordance with site safety standards and procedures.
- Pallet handling including loading and unloading of pallets from transport vehicles, as well as loading of palletising equipment.
- Picking, stacking, and staging of product for load building.
- Paper reel handling from containers and curtain siders through to warehousing and production use.
- Use of electronic inventory management tools such as scanners and tablets.
- Participation in stocktake activities and inventory control processes.
What you will bring to the team:
As our new Forklift Driver, you will be a team player with a strong work ethic. You will have proven experience at confidently operating a forklift. You will be committed to working safely and engaging with all safety processes and procedures, along with the following:
- A current Forklift Certificate is essential, and high reach is a bonus.
- Minimum of 2 years forklift operating experience in manufacturing/warehouse operations.
- Completion of Forklift Attachment Training is highly desirable.
- You will have good attention to detail and an eye for accuracy.
- Be capable of time management and ensuring deadlines are met.
