Role Details:
Reporting to the Service Manager, this role is based in the Albury-Wodonga region, with travel required to customer sites such as Tumut, Junee and Wagga Wagga.
This role will provide field service support conducting machine installations, maintenance servicing, and repairs in a timely and professional manner. The ideal candidate will have the ability to identify the best approach to resolve customer issues and generate accurate quotes that balance cost-effectiveness and profitability.
What you'll do:
- Conduct service and repair work on Visy Automation and other suppliers’ equipment.
- Provide PLC, Touch Screen, and robotic programming support/modifications.
- Create and modify AutoCAD drawings for circuit diagrams.
- Train machine operators and maintenance personnel on-site.
- Recommend efficiency and maintenance modifications to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
- Suggest accessibility and mechanical improvements during the machine build cycle.
- Offer after-sales support for machine maintenance and quality issues.
- Provide detailed and itemized reports of all service, installation, and breakdown calls.
- Source and benchmark competitive price options for components.
- Maintain a high level of single instance repairs.
- Train customers’ employees to develop technical abilities and maximize machine performance and safety.
- Work outside normal hours as needed to support customer requirements.
What You Will Bring:
- Mechanical or Electrical trade qualifications
- A Grade Electrical Licence is highly desirable
- Solid industrial post-trade experience, ideally within packaging, FMCG or manufacturing
- Working knowledge of PLC Programming systems desirable
- Computer savvy with experience using MS Office, Excel, Word & PowerPoint
- Strong technical and communication skills
- Flexibility to work outside normal hours when required
