Visy Logistics Australia is a key player in the global logistics sector, recognized for providing sustainable, digitally advanced supply chain solutions. As a critical Division of Visy Industries, we harness the company's substantial volume, footprint, and infrastructure, as well as its manufacturing and procurement prowess, to offer tailored Logistics solutions to all participants in the Industrial, Beverage, and Consumer Goods sectors.

Our Visy Logistics team, located in Ingleburn, NSW, is currently seeking a Metro Fleet Supervisor with exceptional operational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage relationships effectively across various business units. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who enjoys a dynamic, fast-paced environment and has a flair for problem solving. As a Fleet Supervisor you will work with a fun team as well as get immense job satisfaction through bringing your varied skill set!

Reporting to the Transport Operations Manager, key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Lead and manage a team of drivers to ensure daily operations of the fleet, including scheduling and allocation is timely and accurate
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all stakeholders, customers, drivers, and subcontractors
  • Communicate effectively with drivers and customers around planning and delays
  • Conduct proactive assessments of operations with the aim of enhancing efficiency
  • Manage and monitor payroll, driver’s performance, leave entitlements, and truck servicing
  • Load planning & optimization via solid analytical skills with the ability to systemically plan resources
  • Recognize opportunities to improve current processes and revenue margins through P&L accountability
  • Proactively managing sub-contractors and associated costs

What you will bring to the team:

  • Prior experience in a similar role within the Transport and Logistics industry
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of OH&S, CoR & NHVR legislation
  • SAP, WMS & TMS knowledge is desirable
  • Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced and challenging environment
  • A continuous improvement mindset with good change management experience
  • Ability to build strong relationships internal and externally
