Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will oversee all aspects of dispatch operations ensuring people and equipment are employed efficiently and distribution activities are performed safely, cost-effectively and in accordance with customer expectations. This is a permanent position that requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and customer service skills to lead a team and achieve timely order fulfillment.
What you’ll do:
- Manage the day-to-day supervision of the team, overseeing work and motivating them to ensure efficiency and accuracy are maintained and all key performance indicators are met
- Ensure adequate labour coverage is in line with budgets, delivery schedules and SLAs
- Develop process improvement plans in line with the State strategy
- Audit processes/ document control and report on findings, along with recommendations to the Warehouse Manager to close defects found
- Liaise with production teams / Customer Service / Yatala Warehouse operations to execute or plan against daily movements/urgent requests
- Maintain records of work performed to facilitate accurate invoicing of clients and payment of employees
- Ensure all instances of service failure or loss of or damage to goods are investigated and develop and instigate remedial action to prevent a recurrence
- Responsible for managing operating expenses and wages within budget constraints
What you will bring:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar Dispatch or Warehouse environment within a Team Leader or Supervisor role
- Prior experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or Logistics Industry
- Ability to balance commercial, operational, and functional requirements
- Strong commercial data reporting presentation skills
- Good understanding of data extraction and evaluation
- Customer Service focused, analytical skills and process-oriented
