We collect and sort recyclable materials like paper, cardboard, glass, plastics and metals from households and businesses, and locally remanufacture them back into new, sustainable packaging. We are a global leader in recycled PET (rPET) and recycled HDPE (rHDPE) production and packaging. We take 92,000 tonnes of plastics each year and make approximately two billion plastic containers and preforms.
Based in Clayton, Victoria, the Machine Operator will be under the supervision of the Team Leader and will report to Production Manager.
What you'll do:
- Perform duties in a safe manner in accordance with site OH&S policies and promote safety with all employees
- Understand and undertake basic quality control/assurance procedures including the ability to recognised basic quality deviations/faults
- Repetitious work on automatic, semi-automatic or single purpose machines or equipment
- Operate hand operated transport and lifting devices
- Wrapping finished goods
- Operate machinery that requires basic set up skills
What You Will Bring:
- Must be mechanically minded
- Ability to work 12 hour shifts rotational
- Basic Computer skills
