The Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be part of a high performing team responsible for the maintenance and repair of plant and equipment. This facility will run a morning and an afternoon shift with fixed teams for both. Overtime is usually available for those who wish to work additional hours.
You will work in a high performing team responsible for the ongoing maintenance, performance, and safety, supporting PLC controlled systems, a variety of packaging plant and some of the latest servo-controlled Corrugated and Converting Machines.
Some of your additional responsibilities will include:
- Contribute to a safe and compliant working environment.
- Conduct preventative maintenance of all plant and equipment.
- Provide service to maintain production and resolution of operational or technical problems.
- Ensure you work as a member of a cohesive team while maintaining individual responsibility.
What you will bring to the team:
- A background in mechanical applications and manufacturing process experience.
- Basic oxy acetylene gas experience as a minimum together with mig/tig/stick welding skills.
- You’re analytical and keenly focused on process and continuous improvement.
- Mechanical trade qualifications, a valid forklift licence and are computer literate.
- Experience working in a fast paced, high-volume environment while maintaining the required safety standards.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a “get the job done” approach every day.
