Based in Bowen, Queensland, our Maintenance fitter will be responsible for scheduled servicing and repairs of plant both onsite and for our clients.

The Opportunity:
Based in Bowen, Queensland, our Maintenance fitter will be responsible for scheduled servicing and repairs of plant both onsite in our depot as well as on client sites. You will be required to conduct maintenance on a variety of plant and equipment including box and carton machines used by the growers and suppliers involved in the local primary industry.
The Role
- Install, assemble, repair and service machines. Working on glue lines, roll-overs, conveyors, cylinders, belts, and other components. Change out parts, replacing bearings and other key components.
- Management of supplies and spare parts, managing inventory, planning for preventative maintenance, and quickly responding to breakdowns.
- Assisting to formulate action plans and driving continuous improvement with systems to ensure they are efficient, transparent and deliver required results.
- Ensure appropriate compliance audits are conducted and issues arising to be rectified in a timely manner.
- Monitoring all outgoing material to ensure quality standards and safety compliance.
What you will bring to the position:
- Trade qualified. You may be a Fitter, Fitter & Turner or a Mechanical Trade.
- We are looking for someone with a very strong mechanical aptitude who can weld and fabricate. You will be responsible for both scheduled maintenance and breakdowns.
- This is a client facing role, so we are looking for someone with strong communication skills with a positive a proactive approach to work.
Standard hours will be from 6 AM to 2.30 PM. Additional hours and some weekend work will be required during busy periods.
