About the role

As the Maintenace Planner, you will have an already set-up and functioning Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to help you hit the ground running and an experienced maintenance and engineering team to work with and co-ordinate.
Your strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure will suit this fast-paced environment. In addition, your attitude where no job is too small, passion to learn new skills, and ability to lead by example, will fit right into the team.
Duties
Area Planner in Paper Mill, responsible for managing all shut activities, across all disciplines.
Reporting to the Site Planning Coordinator, your key outcomes will be to:
- Demonstrate your commitment to Health & Safety practices.
- Successfully plan, prioritise & schedule, monthly shutdowns, and the annual major shutdown (MSD) using your exceptional organisational skills.
- Ensure schedules are compiled and issued in a timely manner.
- Ensure all resources required are procured for tasks to be completed.
- Co-ordinate shut activities, to ensure deliverance of shut safely, on time and within budget.
- Manage the shutdown Maintenance contractors, ensuring they are carrying out works safely.
- Effectively communicate with production personnel for the safe and efficient planning & scheduling of plant maintenance.
What you will bring to the team
- A qualification in engineering or accomplished trade and/or planning background.
- Pulp & Paper industry experience highly regarded, but not mandatory.
- Alternatively, exposure to a 24/7 multi process/heavy industrial manufacturing environment would be an ideal fit.
- You will possess a high level of interpersonal skills and will not be afraid of a challenge.
- Flexibility to be part of an on-call roster.
- Tech savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office, SAP or other Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
