About the role

As a Condition Monitoring Technician – reporting to the Senior Condition Monitoring Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining critical machinery and equipment to ensure maximum uptime and improve overall plant reliability.  You will play a key role in our commitment to operational excellence and sustainability.

Duties

  • Perform routine inspections and condition monitoring of machinery and equipment, including but not limited to pumps, conveyors, rollers, and rotating equipment.
  • Utilize various diagnostic tools and techniques to identify potential issues or deviations in equipment performance.
  • Generate condition reports, maintain detailed records, and provide recommendations for preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance and engineering teams to develop and execute maintenance plans and strategies.
  • Assist in troubleshooting equipment failures and participate in root cause analysis investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations while performing all tasks.
  • Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in condition monitoring.

What you will bring to the team

  • Trade qualification (Fitter, Electrician, Mechanical) – essential.
  • Diploma or a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering would be advantageous.
  • 3 year’s minimum experience with industrial maintenance in a continuous process environment (preferably within the Pulp and Paper, Aluminum, Steel, Mining or similar heavy industries).
  • Knowledge and experience with vibration analysis would be preferred.
  • Competent and experienced using CMMS, Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

This plant operates on a 24/7-day basis and you will need to be flexible to work additional hours as required including being on our call out roster.
