THE OPPORTUNITY
In this role you will work on our corrugator, gluing, folding, inking and/or dye cutting machinery. These are highly automated machines, and you will be required to trouble shoot, operate, and from time-to-time fix problems and solve issues. Our Hemmant factory is brand new. We have great facilities for staff including new lunchrooms, training rooms and plenty of parking. It is a clean and efficient working environment.
Recycling and producing cardboard boxes are a big part of what we do at Visy. The recycled paper that we use to produce packing and boxes includes approximately 98% post-consumer waste. We are one of Australia’s largest users are recycled materials, we re-make materials from paper, bottles, and plastics, helping to avoid materials going to waste.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM
- Experience in a production environment operating and running machines.
- Ideally you will have worked in an FMCG environment, however many of our staff have joined from engineering, picking, packing and other similar production environments.
- You are willing and able to work under physically challenging condition. There is often a requirement to lift 20-30 kilos, changing settings or refilling consumables.
- You have a safety-first mindset and always comply with OHS&E policies and procedures.
- Most importantly, you will work well in a team and contribute to our great culture.
