As part of the production team, the Maintenance Fitter will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the forming machine equipment, both within the workshop and in the production area, producing quality work in a safe and timely manner.
You will be hands-on, with the ability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment, whilst remaining calm under pressure.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, your key responsibilities will be:
- Follow all Work, Health & Safety policies, and procedures.
- Adherence to the reliability maintenance plan
- Quality assurance
- Record management of all planning activities (SAP PM module)
- Responding quickly to machinery breakdowns, with the aim of minimizing downtime.
- Assist in developing and executing preventative maintenance plans to ensure ongoing performance of machinery.
- Assist with the management of stock levels to ensure continuity.
- Identify opportunities for cost saving, productivity, and reliability improvements.
What you will bring to the team:
- Mechanical Trade Qualifications (Certificate III or higher) in a Fitting/Machine discipline
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a continuous process plant environment
- Post trade Hydraulics and Pneumatics & a forklift licence would be highly regarded.
- Computer literacy – MS office, SAP knowledge or similar related software applications
- Strong communication & stakeholder management skills
