Role Details
As the HSE Coordinator, you will be reporting to the Operations Manager and play a pivotal role in fostering a proactive safety culture, maintaining effective risk management systems, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements. You’ll lead emergency response initiatives, coordinate, administer and document statutory training, and support continuous improvement across our operations.
What you'll do
- Coordinate the administration of processes for health, safety and environmental activities to be monitored on site with Operations Manager approval.
- Conduct site audits and inspections to ensure regulatory compliance and ISO 14001 accreditation.
- Drive safety culture through coaching, toolbox talks, and active engagement with workers.
- Manage HSE documentation systems and ensure accessibility and accuracy.
- Coordinate statutory safety training and maintain training records in VPC and NOGGIN management systems.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and stay abreast of industry best practices.
What You Will Bring
- Tertiary education in OHS qualifications (at a minimum a Certificate III in Work Health & Safety, Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety) or Diploma/Advanced Diploma of Work Health & Safety
- Proven experience in HSE roles, preferably in manufacturing or heavy industry
- Strong understanding of ISO 14001 and safety legislation.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills and preference given to people trained in using ICAM
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to influence, coach, and engage stakeholders at all levels.
