Role Details:
As the Site Accountant for Hemmant, you provide hands‑on finance support to the manufacturing team on site. You ensure accurate management reporting, strong cost control, and compliance with accounting standards. Your work enables better decision‑making through budgeting, forecasting, and meaningful financial analysis.
In this role, you partner closely with the State Operations Manager, Site Manager and support teams at Hemmant, while also working with the broader finance team across Queensland.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide daily, monthly and ad‑hoc financial reporting to support site decision‑making
- Support budgeting, forecasting and long‑term planning
- Complete month‑end processes including P&L, journals, inventory cut‑offs and balance sheet reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls and audit requirements
- Assist with Capex reviews, asset management and investment analysis
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy
What You Will Bring:
Experience – Mandatory
- You have proven experience in management accounting.
- You have hands‑on experience preparing budgets, forecasts and financial analysis in a medium to large organisation.
- You are confident working with a large ERP system (SAP, Oracle or similar).
- You understand inventory management principles.
- You are highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions.
Experience – Desirable
- You have experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- You have worked with SAP previously.
Qualifications – Mandatory
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- You are CA/CPA qualified
