Job Title: National Automation Service Manager
Role Details: Visy Automation is a specialist business unit working across agriculture, food and beverage, produce and PCG customers. We are seeking an experienced and driven Automation Service and Maintenance Manager to lead our mechanical, electrical and automation service functions across AU & NZ. Reporting to the Automation Technical Manager, this role will oversee all service and maintenance performance and lead by example for a large and passionate technical team.
What you'll do:
Lead and train a passionate and dedicated team of mechanical and electrical service technicians, ensuring standardised service excellence across all operations.
Own our standards for service, maintenance and automation for manufacturing and/or secondary packaging equipment
Actively manage and develop customer relationships, ensuring strategic partnering to ensure Visy provides meaningful outcomes to our valuable customers
Oversee technical review of equipment offers to customers, ensuring feasibility and efficiency.
Manage and enhance our systems and tools for efficient service delivery and documentation.
Support key accounts, by delivering best-in-class service and solutions.
Develop national strategies for service excellence and spare parts
What You Will Bring to the Team:
- Proven business acumen with experience in technical service management, and customer management.
- Strong mechanical or electrical background with at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Leadership experience in managing technical teams and driving performance.
- Excellent forecasting and planning skills, with strong commercial awareness.
- Proficiency in Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint, with SAP experience preferred.
- Experience with case forming, erecting, palletising, and materials handling equipment (desirable).
- Strong problem-solving ability and a results-driven mindset.
