At Visy, we love solving problems. And that’s something we do better together. We’re looking for a Maintenance Store Person & Planner to join our Food Can team, helping to procure and manage inventory whilst ensuring our maintenance systems and equipment operate at peak performance.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Site Maintenance Manager, this role focuses on stores management, planning and supporting maintenance operations to reduce downtime and improve efficiency. You’ll manage inventory, raise purchase requisitions, monitor spending, and assist with preventative maintenance planning using an industry recognized CMMS system. This role also plays a key part in assisting to roll out a standardised maintenance store system across Visy operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure and manage stock: raise purchase requisitions, receive deliveries, and maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Assist with maintenance planning: allocate work orders, track preventative maintenance (PM) completion, and support breakdown response.
- Support implementation of standardised maintenance store systems across Visy sites.
- Monitor spend, trend data, and identify cost-saving opportunities with suppliers.
- Develop standardised ways of working and provide training on stores systems.
- Collaborate with maintenance, production, and operational teams to improve equipment reliability.
- Participate in capital improvement projects and ensure on-time delivery of purchased items.
- Maintain safe work practices in line with Visy HSE policies.
What You Will Bring to the Team
- Previous experience with digital stores systems (SAP highly desirable).
- Experience in maintenance planning or coordinating PMs.
- Strong technical skills, able to read engineering drawings and manuals.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong organizational and communication skills.
- Analytical, strategic, and solution-focused mindset.
- Confidence to lead change and develop employee training programs.
- Trade qualifications are highly desirable.
