The opportunity:
We are currently recruiting an Industrial Electrician to join our team at Visy Board, Hamilton. This is a full-time permanent role, working on a weekly rotating shift. It is a diverse and varied role where you will be working closely, with the production operation teams across the site. Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will be member of the maintenance team, leading initiatives in reducing plant downtime by conducting preventative maintenance activities, immediate breakdown repairs, general electrical fault-finding, continuous improvement, and work on projects as required. You will use our maintenance software systems to record and plan maintenance activities, along with maintaining awareness and commitment to employment and legislative responsibilities, in relation to safety, quality and the environment.
What you will bring to the team:
You will have a Full NZ Electrical Trade License, an Electrical trade qualification, and a minimum of 5 years maintenance experience from a high-volume manufacturing environment or similar industry. Electrical and Electronics fault-finding (with Printed Circuit Boards, PLC’s and Motor Controls) will be a strength of yours, as well as reading electrical schematics and your knowledge of AS/NZS 3000. Experience within AS-Interface and automation systems is highly desirable. You are self-motivated and have a proactive approach. You are a team player that has proficient computer skills along with good written and verbal communication skills. You value the safety of yourself and others above all else.
