The opportunity:

We are on the lookout for a driven and competitive sales executive to launch and build business activities in Queensland.

As a seasoned Sales Executive, you will be accountable for discovering and pursuing new sales prospects, executing deals, delivering customer satisfaction, and most importantly making our presence known. This is an autonomous opportunity that will challenge you and allow for job satisfaction.

Based in South Brisbane and reporting to the Regional Sales Manager NSW & QLD your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Contract Management
  • Internal stakeholder engagement surrounding new business activities to achieve better results
  • Market analyses to determine customer needs
  • Promote Visy Logistics services, increase & retain new business by offering commercially sound sustainable solutions
  • Set up meetings and prepare and deliver appropriate presentations
  • Negotiate and document new rates and/or commercial arrangements, close deals and handle complaints or objections
  • Develop and maintain contracts, Standard operating procedures (SOP’s), Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) and monthly reporting for customers
  • Sales Executive activity, sales, and financial reporting
  • Managing multiple projects and priorities at once

What you will bring to the team:

Ultimately, you will make a solid contribution in exceeding business expectations and contribute to our company’s rapid and ongoing growth.

The ideal candidate will be apt in building strong relationships with strategic customers. You will be able to identify needs and requirements to promote Visy’s logistics services and solutions and achieve mutual satisfaction.

The goal is to contribute with sustaining and growing our business to achieve long-term success.

  • Essentially 5 years + of industry related Customer service / Sales and Account Management experience
  • An extensive logistics background, it will be found in your DNA
  • Market knowledge of the Brisbane and FNQ Region desbirable
  • Proven track record in business development
  • Current & valid driver’s licence
  • Experience in computer applications & reporting of freight forwarding
  • A high level of professionalism, strong communication & interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships at all levels
