Visy Technology Systems specialise in developing and distributing technology, systems and supplies for product marking applications, leading the way with the most innovative direct print, labelling and product inspection solutions.
Reporting to the Sales and Service Manager, the Field Service Technician’s role includes conducting works on machine installations, maintenance servicing and carrying out repairs to equipment in a timely and professional manner. The role requires the individual to identify the most suited approach in resolving customer issues and generating accurate quotes accordingly that consider the most economical way of delivering a workable solution for the customer, whilst also considering profit for the business.
The individual will need to have clear technical and communication skills required to provide technical advice and support to customers (and internally within the larger business).
Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Respond to breakdown calls and support equipment installations
Attend site and conduct diagnostics, fault-finding and improvements for machine reliability
Make efficiency and maintenance modification recommendations pre and post installation
Provide after sales support in respect of machine maintenance requirements, and quality issues
Provide detailed and itemised reports of all service, installation and breakdown calls
Provide training to customer’s employees to develop technical abilities and cross functionality
What you will bring to the team:
Minimum 5+ years’ (post trade) experience in the Manufacturing or similar Industry and ability to solve mechanical/electrical issues
Excellent problem solving skills & highly demonstrated verbal reasoning with demonstrated computer skills
Results focused and ability maintaining a high level of single instance repairs
Flexibility to work outside normal hours as needed to support customer requirements
Active projects team member and thrives in a diverse, dynamic and fast paced work environment
