Reporting to the Metropolitan Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing a territory of accounts in the Inner West Sydney region, which may also include travel to regions outside of the metropolitan area. Working alongside the wider sales team, you will manage existing clients with a keen focus on hunting new business opportunities and delivering on growth targets, ultimately contributing to improving our sales capability and business performance.
To be successful, you will be driven, autonomous and dedicated to driving sustainable business growth, while working collaboratively with the sales, customer service and technical/operations teams.
The key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Retaining and growing existing customer base, while driving new business account activity
Developing timely and accurate forecasts of customer requirements
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders across a range of disciplines
Utilise knowledge of the market, region and business to develop relevant sales strategies
Drive value engineering projects to identify margin improvement opportunities
Complying with OHS&E policies and procedures at all times
What you will bring to the team:
Experience in Business Development and Account management in a similar industry/B2B preferred
Working knowledge of CRM systems (Salesforce) and experience in use of Microsoft and Google suite of products highly desirable
Previous experience (5+ years) in a B2B sales role will be strongly preferred
Autonomous with strong commercial acumen, attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise and deliver
Clear, personable communicator with exceptional negotiation and relationship building capability across all levels externally and internally
