Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead the safety agenda within the Paper Mill, by engaging management and workers to have a proactive approach to safety.
Your key responsibilities will include, but not limited to;
Implement and maintain the systems and tools required to identify and control safety risks arising from operations, products and services.
Prepare and deliver appropriate training including toolbox talks to improve site safety performance.
Lead the Return to Work process in conjunction with the Corporate Workers Compensation Team and the respective manager.
Assist with compliance of regulatory requirements and ongoing accreditation of our HSE systems.
Maintain the Mill's Quality Management System policies and procedures.
What you will bring to the team:
Tertiary qualification or Diploma in Work Health and Safety or related field.
Exposure to 24/7 heavy industrial manufacturing environment or similar high risk environment.
Experience in the application of:
Risk Management systems, safety legislation and other relevant legal obligations.
Safety Management Systems to ISO 14001 standards.
Quality Management Systems to ISO 9001 standards (highly regarded).
