The role:

Reporting to the Group Sales Manager of Automation, this role is pivotal in the Automation Groups New Business Development and strategic sales for the Victoria and Tasmania region.

You will manage and lead a portfolio of state-based accounts, drive new sales opportunities and support national accounts as required.

This dynamic and fast paced position requires a focused and detail driven professional, who can shine when the pressure is on.

Therefore, you will be highly motivated, with excellent organisational, time management and prioritising skills, who can work autonomously whilst also bringing together customers, suppliers and internal departments to deliver a fantastic outcome.

With a key focus on increasing sales, you will:

  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generations through to presentations, proposals, tenders, negotiations and closing deals.
  • Establish and maintain positive customer relationships through all circumstances whilst ensuring delivery of win-win outcomes.  
  • Utilise your technical & commercial acumen to develop relevant business cases for internal review and corporate sign off.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Previous experience in a Sales or Project Management role, specifically in industrial automation & robotic equipment systems
  • An Engineering qualification, or an accomplished trade background
  • Ability to produce layout designs using CAD
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to clearly and accurately define projects scope 
  • Experience in Tender contract writing
  • You are a self-starter, display high levels of initiative and creative aptitude and have excellent networking skills
